Dan's Birthday and Our Anniversary! (June)

We loved having Joy home with us all summer!! She helped us celebrate Dan's birthday and our Anniversary. (on June 9th)
This summer we also enjoyed having Sarah Hartman and her brother David (my neice and nephew) with us for awhile. They both got summer jobs at a Christian camp nearby. My sister Gwen and her husband Joel Hartman, are missionaries in the Yanomami tribe in the Amazon of Northern Brazil. They are living in the jungle now (church-planting) and their two oldest kids had graduated from high school and have returned to the US for Bible college at NTBI (where our son Jason is also studying now) in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

In Lexington with Kern Family

Sharon and Stefan and the boys stayed in Lexington in their friends' , the Dunn's beautiful home.

Joy hands out treats to her nephews.

Sharon and Family Visit in April

It was so much fun to have Sharon and Stefan and the grandkids visit us - all the way from Africa! (Kerns came to the US just for the summer.)
Christian enjoys tasting food off of Tamo's plate.
The cousins got acquainted - Cody and Ellen Angelo, with their cousins Christian and Cohen Kern.
We celebrated Cohen's 3rd birthday with gifts he enjoyed opening...
and sharing with his brother Christian, of course. :)

Dan helps Scott with house project in April

Ellen helped Dan fit the flooring in snugly and perfectly!
This shows the enclosed porch off of Angelo's master bedroom.
First, tho, Dan and Scott spread the flooring outdoors - then cut it to fit the hot tub room in their enclosed porch off of Angelo's bedroom. The Lord blessed Scott and Tessa with a cute "cabin" house in the woods at Linn Creek, about a half hour's drive from where we live at MTC (Missionary Training Center) along the lake.

Cody's favorite place to sleep was NOT in his crib - but on the floor where Ellen could keep a close eye on him as she played.

April in Lexington with Joy

Joy with her "boys" whom she took care of as their "nanny" for about a year.
I had the JOY of having lunch with my good friend Renee, and the twins, Wills and Elli True Harper - whom I cared for, for a year - as their "nanny" and whom I love very much and miss now that we are living in Missouri.
On Mother's Day I was surprised and delighted with a bouquet of roses sent to me from Son Daniel in Virginia. Thanks Son!!
Aren't they just gorgeous?!! Thank you, God - for the beauty of Your creation!

Joy visits over her Spring Break

Ellen gets to know her aunt Joy.
Tessa crashes on our couch with Cody when she gets home from a long 12 hr. shift at the local hospital.
Sam and Debbie visited from Iowa.

Ellen loves her Tamo (Waiapi word for Grandpa.) She calls Grandma - Sa'i. (in Waiapi)

Jason's Visit

Jason surprised us this morning (about 4:30 a.m.) by walking in. He drove down from Waukesha NTBI with a carful of guys - to play football, a competition between the two BI's (who formed a team) against an MTC team. We won (MTC) but what counts is - WE HAD AN AWESOME SURPRISE VISIT from our son!!!
